Yellow Coromandel Indienne Pin Cushion

This pumpkin-shaped pin cushion is handcrafted using Sajou-printed fabric and is tightly stuffed to hold needles and pins securely and safely. The top and bottom are finished with fabric covered buttons, and a beautiful Sajou label is woven on the side. This product is entirely handmade in a small workshop in Versailles, France, so each pin cushion is slightly unique. 

About the print: Rising to popularity in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, Indienne prints such as this one are based off of Indian block-printed textiles. This design stems from the Coromandel Coast of India, with a classic floral motif on a rich yellow background.
